Details: This is a very heavy, glass serving tray, with a gorgeous silver overlay filigree border. The tray has five separate sections, originally intended as a serving dish, however, this tray can serve a variety of uses from the vanity to the office, the sections are ideal for tidying up small items. This dish is smooth on the inside, with an embossed diamond pattern/texture, on the outside. This glass dish was made by Cambridge Glass, this shape is very unique to them, however, the silver overlay was likely done by a silver company like: Silver City, Rockwell. Although Cambridge sold silver-overlay pieces, it is more likely that these silver companies would purchase blank glass pieces from Cambridge, and other glass manufacturers, enhance them with silver-overlay in different patterns and sell them under their brand name. This dish is a great piece of history and a beautiful decor piece for your home or table.
