Singer's iconic foot pedal machine on an iridescent tin. Pink, yellow, green, and blue against black — Bristol Ware at their most decorative.
Bristol Ware of Farmingdale, NY made promotional tins for major American brands, and this Singer Manufacturing Co. tin is a lovely example. The lid features an image of Singer's beloved treadle sewing machine; the rim is ringed with iridescent florals in pink, yellow, green, and blue on a black ground — shimmering and eye-catching. The back reads: A Trademark of The Singer Company, Bristol Ware, Farmingdale, NY 11735, Made in China. There is one small dent on the bottom, most noticeable from the inside.
A charming piece for the sewing room, the advertising collectibles collector, or the Singer enthusiast. Practical too — sized perfectly for pins, buttons, or small notions.
