The Pinex Company operated from 1905 to 1960, and this small hinged pill tin — in their signature bright yellow with period-perfect lettering — is believed to date to around 1914. These are New Old Stock: never filled, never used as intended, stored for over a century. We have a small quantity available; each shows signs of long-term storage (minor scratches, worn spots, or staining) but none are dented. A small, flat, pocketable tin that carries an outsized amount of American pharmaceutical history.
A wonderful piece for the advertising tin collector, the patent medicine enthusiast, or anyone who loves small objects with big stories. Also a charming desk or vanity catchall.
