Dreamsicles were created by artist Kristin Haynes in the 1980's.  Originally she made the cute cherub figurines by hand, individually and sold them locally.  By 1991 the figurines had become so popular, she couldn't keep up production and in 1991, she partnered with a local giftware company, Cast Art Industries.  By the late 1990's there were Dreamsicles waterglobes, musicals, bells, ornaments, plates, teapots, cross-stitch, mugs and more. Some made by Cast Art and others were licensed to other companies like: The Hamilton Collection, Berkeley Designs, Leisure Art and Giftco, Inc.  By the early 2000's sales started to decline, they sold the Dreamsicles brand to Willitts Designs International, (part of the Lenox Group).  In 2003 production of Dreamsicles stopped.
