One teapot. Deep purple flowers, a gray and pink rose, ironstone with a generous looped handle. Arthur Wood, England — and the backstamp places it between 1904 and 1928.

This is an antique English ironstone teapot in Pattern #5436 by Arthur Wood, England. Backstamped "Arthur Wood, England" with pattern number 5436. The backstamp dates to 1904, when Arthur Wood became sole owner of the pottery — the company name did not change to Arthur Wood & Sons until 1928, making this a pre-1928 piece. Deep purple flower and gray and pink rose floral decoration. Wide, rounded form with a large looped handle and internal filter strainer. One piece available.

Crazing throughout and tea stains inside — entirely expected and accepted in a piece of this age. No chips or scratches. Excellent antique condition considering it is over a century old.

A genuine find for an English pottery collector, an antique teapot enthusiast, a lover of purple and gray — or anyone who appreciates a piece with a properly documented history.
