Details: This is a lovely and very old teapot from Arthur Wood. The floral pattern features a deep purple flower and a grey and pink rose. It has a beautiful shape, wider towards the bottom with a large looped handle. There is an internal filter. It has a backstamp: "Arthur Wood, England" plus a pattern number, "5436". The backstamp dates to 1904 when Arthur Wood became sole owner, (it wasn't until 1928 that the company name was changed to Arthur Wood & Sons). A real treasure for the antique teapot collector! Materials: Ironstone / Ceramic Dimensions: 5.5 inches Tall (including lid), 9.0 inches Wide (including handle and spout), and it's approx 6.0 inches in Diameter at its widest point. Condition: Antique - Used. Very Good antique condition considering its age. There is crazing all over and tea stains inside. All acceptable due to age/use/wear. No chips or scratches.
