One footed cup — the same dark floral border and gold handle as the companion pieces in this collection, each made from Czechoslovakian EPIAG porcelain and painted by hand in America during the golden age of china painting. A single cup has its own quiet completeness: something to hold, to use for espresso or tea, or to place on a shelf where it earns its keep every day.
EPIAG porcelain was produced in Czechoslovakia from around 1910 to 1946. The painting is American — the work of the china painting clubs that flourished in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when educated women imported European blanks and brought them to life with botanical florals and careful gilding. Cup only, no saucer. We also carry a set of 5 matching EPIAG cups and a set of 2 CT Altwasser cups with the same floral border — all go beautifully together. Contact us for a discount on all 8.
A lovely single piece for a collector, a small display, or a gift with genuine character. Beautiful for a birthday or housewarming.
