Takito Company was founded in 1880 in Nagoya, Japan, they operated until their dissolution in 1948.  Majiro Takito is listed as an exhibitor of porcelain objects at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago and the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. They were a Japanese porcelain manufacturer, specializing in lusterware and moriage designs during the early 20th century. Their pieces were famous for the intricate patterns and designs, and they gained particular popularity in the United States during the Art Deco period of the 1920's and 1930's.
