This is a vintage ceramic tea set comprising a lidded teapot and four Chawan-style cups (Han tsutsu-gata form) in a deep black high-gloss glaze with bold red Chinese characters. Made in Taiwan — the teapot retains its original "Made in Taiwan" sticker. Circa 1980s–1990s. One set available.
The teapot has the character design on both sides. The cups have the design on one side. There is no internal filter in the teapot — suited to tea bags or a separate infuser. A striking set for a chinoiserie enthusiast, a lover of Asian decorative arts, or anyone who wants a tea set that makes a statement on the table or the shelf.
