A perfect example of a 1920s Art Deco sugar bowl, not only in the shape of the porcelain but in the floral design as well. The colors are simple, a cream background with blue, purple, and pink florals and lots of gilding. The shape is very unique: square, with handles added at the corners and a square finial on the lid. The bottom is stamped with the Weimar logo used between 1848 and 1933, but based on the shape of this piece we believe it was made around the 1920s. It is signed on the back by the artist: "Mc Luckie."

A great work of art, perfect as a hostess gift, perhaps with a special flavored sugar or a pretty gold spoon, and lovely for Mother's Day.

Weimar porcelain was established in 1790 by Christian Andreas Speck in the town of Blankenhain, Germany, and has a long history.
