This American-made mustard or condiment spoon from the 1950s–1960s is one of those quietly brilliant pieces of vintage tableware: the elongated scoop bowl is designed exactly like a mustard spoon, and the strategically placed hook at the back of the handle rests on a jar or bowl rim to keep the spoon from slipping in. Marked "...Plate" with a "12" — the hook covers the beginning of the stamp, but 12 DWT is a standard indicator of silverplate.
Useful for mustard, olives, capers, jams, or any condiment that deserves a dedicated spoon. A charming and practical addition to a well-set table, or a thoughtful gift for the host who notices the details. Beautiful alongside a vintage mustard pot or a cheese board.
