Details: This lovely set of reverse painted, concave (aka convex & bubble) glass silhouettes are typical of Victorian style decor. During the 1920's through the 1950's there was an increased nostalgia for the Victorian age, and these reverse painted silhouettes became very popular. This set feature a man and woman horseback riders with a very colorful paper scene added on the back. Both have metal frames and a hook on back for hanging. The Benton Glass Co of Benton Harbor, MI was a huge producer of these images with thin metal frames, however these are unmarked so we're unable to confirm. Today, silhouettes are back in style and can be mixed with other portraits, among wall plates, or displayed on their own. One look through Pinterest and you'll be amazed at the flexibility these offer for decor!

Condition: Vintage - Used. Good Vintage Condition. There is lots of wear on the metal frames, but we feel that is part of the charm on these. All acceptable due to age/use/wear. Any shadows you see on the glass are simply a reflection of our photo booth. If you love the look of time-worn pieces, these will be perfect as they are, or you can re-frame in something more suitable for your home.
