Condition: Vintage - Used. Excellent Vintage Condition. A RARE collectible!! This is a Christmas Carol song book, becoming very hard to find, especially in this condition. This wonderful old song book was a promotional item, given away as a complimentary gift during the holidays, by Garland's Drug Store in the Roanoke Virginia area (opened in the early 1950's). Contains 12 Songs. The lithography cover illustrations are by Joe Tillotson (1905-1959). There are no tears, no folded pages, no writing, still maintains vibrant colors, really amazing condition. These vintage Christmas songbooks were promotional items given by banks, stores and many other businesses. Typical of the mid-20th century, circa 1950s and 1960s, as a thank you for doing business or as an incentive to open an account at a bank or other incentive. Most are very small, simple songbooks, filled with Christmas carols and sheet music, featuring the business name, prominently displayed on the front or back cover, it was an inexpensive part of their marketing plan and holiday advertising. They are now collected as vintage holiday or advertising memorabilia.
