Soft, soothing, and quietly romantic — Noritake's Mayfair pattern has an understated elegance that feels both mid-century and timeless. A pink rose and two delicate buds form the center motif, surrounded by bluish-gray leaves; the same leaves and buds reappear in the border alongside gray and beige swirls, all finished with a platinum rim. The bowl's shape is unmistakably mid-century — a little more sculptural than functional, and all the better for it.
Produced by Noritake from 1960 to 1971 and marked with the large N-in-wreath backstamp reading "Noritake China, Japan, 6109, Mayfair, U.S. Design Pat. Pend." — a pattern with genuine collector following. We also carry matching soup bowls if you'd like to build out the set. Hand washing recommended; no microwave use due to the platinum rim.
A lovely piece for a romantic or vintage-styled table, a gift for a Noritake collector, or the serving bowl that finally completes a set.
