CBK's 1997 shakers are pure, joyful maximalism — each one its own world. The salt wears pink tulips against yellow and red checkers with a black and yellow base; the pepper counters with pink roses, blue leaves, a green ground, and purple-and-white diamonds. High-gloss glaze, clearly hand-painted, and stamped "CBK 1997 China" on the bottom. Both retain their original stoppers. The spirit is somewhere between Mary Engelbreit and MacKenzie-Childs — collected, layered, and completely committed to color.
