Turn them in the light and they shift from amber to blue to pink to gold.
Imperial Glass's Marigold Carnival in the Grape pattern (#96) is one of the most collectible expressions of American pressed glass. Originally issued as Ruby Gold in the late 1920s, the pattern was revived in the 1960s and reissued as Marigold — these shakers carry the "IG" mark that identifies them as part of that revival. Grapes and leaves in high relief, that characteristic rainbow iridescence, metal lids. Made in Bellaire, Ohio, by one of America's great glass houses.
A serious collector's piece, and equally beautiful in daily use — on a fall table, a wine-themed dinner, or simply as a year-round display that earns its keep. A companion butter dish in this pattern is also available in the shop.
