That cobalt blue is not something you forget.

Hazel Atlas introduced their Moderntone pattern in 1934, and the cobalt blue quickly became the most coveted of all the colors — deep, saturated, and luminous in any light. These footed shakers are genuine Hazel Atlas, unmarked as was typical for the line, with the characteristic Moderntone form that collectors have sought for decades. The glass itself is in excellent condition; the metal lids show wear and some corrosion from salt and time, which is entirely expected and photographed in full.

A meaningful find for a Depression glass or Hazel Atlas collector, or a striking kitchen accent for someone drawn to vintage American glassware. Founded in 1885 in Wellsburg, West Virginia, Hazel Atlas grew to become the largest glass-container manufacturer in the world before being acquired by Continental Can Company in 1956.
