This figural pair is from the Formalities line, a boy and a girl angel in the "Holly" pattern. Gold paint tips each pair of wings, adding a touch of shimmer. The boy has two holes and the girl has three, so you can tell them apart at the table. Hand wash only, which protects the gold trim. The design has been discontinued.
A lovely gift for angel collectors, Christmas table settings, or anyone who enjoys a figural salt and pepper set with real charm.
Baum Brothers Imports began as part of a New York family business started by Edmund Baum in 1946, originally importing textiles from Japan. His sons Charles and Myron took over in 1968, and in 1979 they began importing goods from China. The company later became Baum-Essex Manufacturing. Its Formalities line grew into a broad collection of porcelain tableware and giftware, from dinnerware and serving pieces to vases, trinket boxes, and figurines like these angels.
