A green barn. A dirt road. A horse-drawn cart being loaded under a late-summer sky. America before everything changed.
This is a large original vintage lithograph titled "Reaping the Harvest" — a nostalgic rural landscape of a green barn and horse-drawn cart on a dirt road, matted on cardboard. Numbered #3522 / #1719, Made in U.S.A. Circa 1930s–1940s. One available. Unframed.
The scene is pure American rural life at the height of its unhurried beauty — a green barn set back from the road, a loaded cart pulled by a horse, the light of a harvest day hanging over everything. These advertisement prints were produced for calendars, thermometers, and hand fans, and the best of them are genuinely evocative paintings of a world that has largely disappeared. This is a large piece — the overall matted presentation measures 16.75" × 11" — with the lithograph print itself at 11.25" × 5.25". Already matted and ready to drop into a frame. One small torn corner on the bottom cardboard backing; the mat and print are in excellent condition and the tear will not be visible once framed.
A wonderful piece for a farmhouse or country interior, a rural Americana collector, a lover of equestrian art, or anyone whose wall deserves a wide, quiet landscape from a simpler time.
