William Edward Powell (1878–1955) was a British artist celebrated for his still-life paintings of flowers — particularly his arrangements of mixed blooms in pitchers, vases, and vessels that captured both botanical detail and the warm informality of cut flowers freshly brought indoors. The advertisement print series that reproduced his work — produced for calendars, thermometers, postcards, and promotional pieces — preserved it in a form that is now actively collected.
