Among the most compositionally inventive in this collection — a great pick for a postcard collector or Thanksgiving display.

Between 1900 and 1915, Germany was the world's finest printer of illustrated postcards — embossed, gilded, lithographed with a richness that American and British presses couldn't match. Postcards from this era are survivors of that golden age: small, vivid, tactile objects that were mailed for a penny and kept for decades.
