An unbelievable find: brand new, never used, in the original tin, a gorgeous 3.0 inch (closed) pocket knife with Case's "Rogers" Jigged Dark Redbone (cattle bone) scales and an oval Coca-Cola logo shield. It is stamped on one blade side with Case XX and 5 X's and 4 Dots, dating it as a 2001 issue Case knife, and the other side of the small Spear blade is stamped with USA 6225 1/2 SS. The tin has the much loved image of Santa Claus as created by Haddon Sundblom for Coca-Cola, which has become the most accepted image of Santa in the USA.

Haddon Hubbard "Sunny" Sundblom was born in Muskegon, MI on June 22, 1899, the son of Scandinavian immigrants, and studied at the American Academy of Art. He is best remembered for his advertising work, including the Santa Claus images he did for Coca-Cola from 1931 to 1964. His images of jolly old St. Nick became so popular that we forget how important his contribution to advertising was, and he is considered one of the most important producers of popular advertising imagery of the 20th century. It is said that besides Norman Rockwell, Sundblom defined the American Dream in pictures. His other work includes the Quaker Oats man, the romanticized couples on Cashmere Bouquet ads, the pin-ups for Coca-Cola, those ladies from the 1940s and 1950s always enjoying a bottle of Coca-Cola, the Sprite Boy, and many works for just about every Fortune 500 company of the time. Sunny died on March 10, 1976.
