  • Pattern: "Celebrate a Proud Land Born 200 Years Ago" - RED
  • Made in Cincinnati, OH
  • Vintage: 1976
  • Details:  Remember the days when airlines gave out playing cards to keep you entertained?  Well in 1978 airlines were deregulated and competition increased, as well as costs, so eventually they stopped giving out playing decks.  This deck is from United Airlines, it was issued to commemorate our country's 200th birthday, the Bicentennial in 1976.  The cover reads: "United Airlines Celebrate a Proud Land Born 200 Years Ago".  These cards were made by the United States Playing Card Company of Cincinnati, Ohio.  They were issued in red and blue, we have the red.  This is a complete set, 52 cards and two jokers, plus an information card.  The jokers have great vintage graphics!  There is some wear, please see "Condition" below.   Perfect for any advertising  or playing card collector, a retired airline employee, an American history collector, or simply for the pleasure of playing with vintage cards.
  • Material:  Paper
  • Dimensions:  Approx. 3.5 by 2.5 inches
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Good Condition.  These cards are used but there are no bent cards, folded corners, all straight and crisp.  The edges have yellowed over time, there is wear on the outside of the box and the color of the box has faded, on one side, visible in pictures. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
