A natural for collectors of airline memorabilia and mid-century advertising pieces, and a fun gift for anyone who remembers flying TWA.
Trans World Airlines traced its roots to a 1930 merger and grew into one of America's best-known international carriers, flying until American Airlines acquired it in 2001. Giveaway items like playing cards put the airline's name into passengers' hands long after the flight. This deck was made by Brown & Bigelow of St. Paul, Minnesota, a leading American playing card maker from the late 1920s into the 1980s, whose brands included Hoyle and Remembrance.
