A piece of Pan Am's "Destination Cards" series, with England as its featured stop.
Produced by Brown & Bigelow's Stancraft division under the Stardust Nu-Vue name — cards marketed at the time for a specially tinted coating said to reduce eye fatigue — this deck was part of Pan Am's destination-themed series introduced in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The window for dating these is narrow, falling between Brown & Bigelow's acquisition by Standard Packaging in the 1960s and its later sale to Saxon Industries in 1970. This deck came from a collector's estate, complete with both jokers, and the box retains roughly two-thirds of its original cellophane wrapping.
A nice pick for the Pan Am collector, the destination-card completist, or anyone charmed by mid-century travel ephemera.
