Playing Cards, Brown & Bigelow, Oldsmobile Rocket Vanguard Salesman Set, Black Velvet Case, USA, Vintage 1950s–60s

A double deck awarded not to customers, but to the salesmen who earned it.  This set was a promotional achievement award given to top-performing Oldsmobile salesmen through the company's Rocket Vanguard Program in the 1950s and '60s, featuring the Oldsmobile Rocket logo as a mark of distinction. Brown & Bigelow, based in St. Paul, Minnesota, produced the cards using their proprietary Redislip coating — a finish the company claimed extended card life up to fifty times longer than standard paper stock. Both decks are complete with 52 cards and matching jokers, housed in the original black velvet, gold-foil case.

A great find for the vintage automobilia collector, the playing card enthusiast, or anyone with a soft spot for classic Oldsmobile history.
