Pattern: Vintage Baby Nursery Planter, Doctor #06114, Napcoware
Vintage: 1940's- 1950's
Details: This is such a rare find, not many of these around today! It's a planter with a doctor figurine, with his stethoscope, head mirror and white coat, his doctor bag sits on the floor. The planter section is rectangular and has the Red Cross in front. Everything is hand painted in great detail. The realism of the young doctor's face and the quality craftsmanship and hand painting is not found in today's planters, not even if you go back 30 years do you find this quality. It was made by Napcoware and still retains its original foil sticker that reads in part: "Napcoware Potteries Co, Cleveland, Ohio, Made in Japan" There is also a stamp on the bottom: "06114 Napco Ware". These planters are highly collectible and Napco, Inarco, Relpo and Rubens are getting very expensive, selling for hundreds of dollars at auction. This would be the perfect gift for your favorite M.D. or as a Get Well gift!
