- Details: This is an original presidential campaign button from the 1952 campaign where "Ike", Dwight Eisenhower, was running for President and "Dick", Richard Nixon, was his Vice Presidential running mate. Dwight D. Eisenhower won a landslide victory over Democrat Adlai Stevenson. This was a very important election for Republicans as it ended a string of Democratic Party wins that stretched back to 1932. Eisenhower became our 34th President on January 20, 1953. The button has the union marks on the side. These are old factory stock that were never used. It is Guaranteed Original, nice unused condition.
