- Details: This vintage CBS Pretty Kitty Kelly pinback is a must-have for any vintage pin collector. It was a promotion, ran by CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System), for their radio drama series that ran from 1937-1940, starting Kitty Kelly. The side border is marked: J. B. Carroll Co, Chicago. Did you know that the first design for a pin-back button in the US was patented in 1896? Pinbacks became associated primarily with political campaigns, but today there are many different designs, collected either by theme, age, maker, etc. Deck out your lapel in retro style and nostalgia!

Kitty Kelly was born in New York City in 1902. In the early days of her career, she was member of the Ziegfeld Follies and hosted a CBS radio show for Columbia Broadcasting. Later she got involved in TV and appeared in many TV series, including Bonanza, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Batman and Perry Mason. She died in 1968.
