• Condition: Vintage, used — good. The burgundy felt body remains flat and vibrant with no moth damage or fabric thinning, and the graphics are well preserved. A 1/2-inch V-shaped vertical tear on the harvest gold spine band from a past hanging mount, a small tack hole near the pointed end, and slight fraying at the very tip. Bright, high-contrast gold-orange oil-enamel lettering showcases the historic official college seal on a burgundy felt body with a harvest gold spine band. The paint has the rigid, "stiff-feeling" texture prized by vintage collectors.

Boston College's football tradition reaches back to Frank Leahy, who coached the Eagles to the 1941 Sugar Bowl and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1970, and to fullback Mike Holovak, another Hall of Famer who scored in that game. The pennant's rigid oil-enamel printing and tassel-free layout follow the style of 1940s pennants, a design associated with wartime material shortages, and it appears to be a heritage-style reissue made for the new museum.
