The Boardwalk Regency Hotel Casino opened on June 26, 1979, as the second casino in Atlantic City, growing out of a 1966 Howard Johnson's motor hotel that Caesars purchased in 1977 and renovated and expanded. It opened under the Boardwalk Regency name alone; the Caesars name was added in 1983, and the property became Caesars Atlantic City in 1987. This pennant carries the original Boardwalk Regency branding, so we date it to the brief window between 1979 and 1983. If precise dating matters to you, we'd encourage independent research.
