A pocket watch that isn't a watch — this is a Max Factor powder compact designed to be worn as a pendant, and it is genuinely rare. Both sides carry the same raised design: two golden doves among roses, daisies, and flowers in exceptional detail. Open it and find the original translucent pressed powder (introduced by Max Factor in 1959), the original powder puff, and a perfect mirror. The original label inside reads: "Max Factor Creme Puff, Translucent Pressed Powder, Net Wt .25 oz, Hollywood, Calif. 90028, London. Paris." The hinge and clasp work perfectly. Barely used, if at all.
Max Factor needs no introduction — the Hollywood makeup artist who defined modern beauty from the silent film era onward. A vanity piece this thoughtfully designed, this intact, and this unusual is genuinely hard to find.
A remarkable gift for a vintage makeup collector, a Max Factor enthusiast, a bird lover, or anyone who appreciates beauty objects with real history behind them.
