These musical angels are a genuinely hard-to-find mid-century import from Japan — flocked bodies, cardboard wings and instruments, felt hands, and a gold cord for hanging. Choose an angel with horn, one with guitar, or a singing angel, her horn long since lost to time.
Collect one of each for a tiny choir on your tree.
Flocked felt figures with cardboard accents were a common mid-century Japanese export technique, combining several inexpensive materials into a single detailed ornament. Musical angel sets like this one were often sold as an open-stock line, meaning the specific characters and quantities available varied by shipment — part of why complete matching sets are hard to assemble today.
Pair them with other vintage Japan angels from our shop for a fuller ensemble.
