German Dresden ornaments are some of the most prized pieces in vintage Christmas collecting — pressed paper, foil-stamped and die-cut into intricate two-dimensional medallions, originally finished with a "Western Germany" sticker now long faded with age. This smaller medallion centers a delicately embossed angel, simple and elegant.

Authentic antique Dresdens can fetch hundreds, even thousands, of dollars among serious collectors, and true pre-war examples are increasingly hard to come by. This later reproduction carries the same stamped, foil-finished tradition forward at a far more accessible price point.
