Details: This is such an original mug and not easily found today! It was made by an American Pottery company called Berggren Trayner, especially for our Bicentennial Celebration "1776 - 1976". This company made their own designs, this one has a Federal Blue Eagle with a red white and blue shield on it's chest, red and blue stars on the bottom and a red ribbon swirling behind it and on the sides, same design on both sides. It is signed "Berggren", on the side and stamped on the clay "USA". There is a condition issue, please see "Condition" below. Perfect display piece for your July 4th, or other patriotic decor.

Berggren Trayner was founded in 1948 by Arthur and Audrey Berggren in Libertyville, IL. They designed many different patterns for their mugs, titles, plates and even. In 1986 they sold the designs and their own ceramic recipe to Bergquist Imports in Minnesota.
