One glass. Red, black, and gold Bacardi colors, a jockey and racehorse on the front, every Indiana Derby winner since 1995 on the back — with 2006 left blank. The glass from the race that ended in a dead heat.
This is the official mint julep glass from the 12th Annual Indiana Derby at Hoosier Park, 2006, sponsored by Bacardi. The front features a jockey and racehorse in the brand's signature red, black, and gold. The back lists all past winners since 1995, with 2006 blank — as issued. Appears never used. Two available.
A bit of history worth knowing: 2006 was the first dead heat in Indiana Derby history. Star Dabbler's owners contested the result after their horse came out of the race injured, believing he had won — but the judges upheld the decision. It's on the glass, in a manner of speaking.
A genuine find for an Indiana Derby collector or a Hoosier Park enthusiast — the race moved to Horseshoe Indianapolis in Shelbyville in 2013, making the Hoosier Park glasses harder to come by.
