- Details: These are very cute magnets featuring Woody and Winnie Woodpecker. These were issued by Universal studios, copyright is held by Walter Lantz Productions. For the younger generation that may not be familiar, Woody Woodpecker is an animated character, an anthropomorphic woodpecker, created by Walter Lantz. Woody appeared in movie theater cartoon shorts distributed by Universal Studios between 1940 and 1972. Later, in 1942, he appeared in Dell Comic books. These magnets are based on the original 1940's comic book characters. The magnets are in great condition, in their original packaging, never been opened. The package reads: "Woody Woodpecker and Friends and related characters are trademarks and copyrights of Walter Lantz Production, Inc. Licensed by Universal Studios Licensing, Inc. All rights reserved". We must warn you, these are over 30 years old, we cannot guarantee performance of the magnets. Best used as a collectible. Great gift for a Woody fan/collector.
