A little girl learning to sew, illustrated by the man who shaped early Disney.

Gustaf Adolf Tenggren (1896–1970) was one of the most beloved illustrators of the twentieth century — his work graced the earliest Disney films and defined the golden age of the Little Golden Book. This 1935 cover of The Household Magazine is a full-color original: a warm, exquisitely rendered scene of a young girl at her sewing. The reverse carries a full-page Kellogg's Rice Krispies color ad — the same issue, the same paper, a different kind of keepsake. The paper has mellowed with time but the colors remain vivid; a small corner tear is noted and photographed.

Lovely for a child's room, a sewing room, or a collector of illustration art and golden-age American print. A meaningful gift for Tenggren admirers — and rarer than his book work.
