Details: A beautiful ladle in the very old "Columbia" pattern by Rogers & Bro. This 19th century design is extremely ornate, with so many different swirls, shells, loops and textures, it's difficult to describe, just beautiful! To make it even more beautiful it has a gold washed bowl! It was designed by George Rockwell in 1893 for Rogers & Bro. Although it's designed for serving gravy, we could see it being used for many other sauces, both sweet and savory. It is stamped on back, a little worn but it reads: "Rogers & Bro AI". Great as a hostess/host gift, or for someone who appreciates vintage servingware, or perfect for a collector. Gorgeous on a buffet table!

Rogers & Bro AI was established in 1858 at Waterbury by Asa Jr. and Simeon Rogers. Until 1874 the firm was only a flatware manufacturer. It was one of the original companies becoming part of International Silver Company in 1898.
