Dad in his chair with his newspaper — before Hall Brothers became Hallmark, they made cards that looked exactly like this.

Hall Brothers was the original name of the company that became Hallmark Cards — founded by Joyce Hall in 1910, the Hall Brothers name was used until the Hallmark brand fully took over in the 1950s. A card marked "Hall Brothers" is a genuine piece of American greeting card history, predating one of the most recognized brand names in the world. This Father's Day card shows Dad at ease in his armchair, newspaper in hand — the quintessential mid-century American father, rendered with affection. New Old Stock, blank, never used, includes original envelope. Both card and envelope show the gentle tanning of seventy-plus years.

For a greeting card collector, a Hallmark historian, or anyone who wants to give their father something that predates his own birth.
