  • Pattern: Willie Thall
  • Made in USA
  • Vintage: 1940's - 1950's (estimated)
  • Details: This glass is a piece of radio history!  It is a bright green glass tumbler, perfect for Tom Collins!  With a white pyroglaze enamel portrait of Willie Thall and signatures, of WLW Radio announcers and performers from the 1940's and 50's.  Willie Thall, and all the other people who signed the glass, took part in the Midwestern Hayride series at WLW Radio in Cincinnati, which ran from 1930 to 1972.  We dated the glass between 1940's to the 1950's based on the life history of Willie Thall plus the style of his hair and clothes.  The glass is unmarked, looks like blown glass, no mould marks.  This is a beautiful glass and a wonderful piece of American radio history.  If you are trying to complete your set and need Willie Thall, or you broke your Willie Thall glass, this will be a happy find for you.  Great gift for a radio buff, entertainment historian, or country music historian.  We also carry a set of 8 glasses from this series.
