The ruby here is notably deeper and more saturated than later reproductions, without the gold iridescence of subsequent versions. Three mold marks and slightly flared sides are consistent with the original Adams production. King's Crown became one of the most copied patterns in American pressed glass — reproduced by Indiana Glass, Tiffin, and others well into the 20th century. This is not a reproduction; the depth of the ruby and the mold marks are the tell.
