This oval tin with swivel handles is a lovely relic of that era: a beautifully illustrated Victorian shepherd girl, her long pink dress all ruffles and romance, carrying a shepherd's staff and a basket of roses, her wide-brimmed hat adorned with more. Originally sold with a cookie assortment.
A collectible piece with a full provenance story. Lovely as a sewing box, a storage tin, or simply a decorative object in a girl's room or romantic vignette.
ValleyBrook Farms was the brand name of the Deer Park Baking Company of Hammonton, NJ, registered in January 1972 and active until the mid-1980s when American cookie companies could no longer compete with subsidized Danish butter cookies.
