A celebration of rural American life, captured on a collectible tin. This limited edition Schwan's cookie tin features "America America" — a beloved painting by Terry Redlin depicting a snowy winter scene with a country schoolhouse, a teacher and her students raising the American flag, a horse and carriage passing by, and geese flying overhead. Bathed in Redlin's signature twilight glow, it's nostalgia at its most beautiful.
The tin is round with a red and gold color scheme, the Schwan's name on the lid, and a decorative pattern of swirls and pinecones on the sides. A wonderful piece for fans of the artist, tin collectors, and anyone who loves classic Americana and farmhouse decor.
Terry Redlin (July 11, 1937 – April 24, 2016) was born in Watertown, South Dakota and became one of America's most beloved artists, celebrated for his outdoor and wildlife scenes painted in his signature twilight palette. U.S. ART magazine named him "America's Most Popular Artist" every year from 1991 to 1998 and inducted him into their Hall of Fame in 1992. He once said: "America's rural past, in my eyes, was a wonderful place full of both beauty and opportunity."
