  • Vintage Porcelain Cameos, Hand Painted Victorian Women Bust, Felt Matting in Gilded Octagon Frames, Set of 2, Mid Century Home Wall Decor, Old World, English Cottage Style, (Discontinued)
  • Made in USA
  • Vintage:  1950's
  • Details:  An exquisite pair of vintage framed portraits featuring hand-painted Limoges porcelain cameos by Sungott Portrait Studios. Each piece showcases a painted Victorian female bust, rimmed in 24KT gold and mounted on gilded octagon frames with black velvet matting. These could potentially be Limoges porcelain, as Sungott was known to use genuine Limoges porcelain plaques.  They are ready for hanging, with sawtooth hooks on back, and decorative rings on top.  Dating to the 1950's, these sophisticated wall hangings exemplify mid-century elegance perfect for today's Old World or English Cottage styled homes.
  • Material:  Porcelain, Velvet, Wood
  • Dimensions:  Octagon shaped 6 x 6 inches.  Approx. 1 inch Deep
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Vintage Condition. There is slight wear on the black velvet, hardly noticeable (more wear on one piece than the other).  Wear on the gilded frames, mostly on the sides.  Minor tears on the back paper.  High degree of discoloration on the decorative rings.  All acceptable due to age/use/wear.  If you love the look of time-worn pieces, these will be perfect as they are, or you can replace the decorative rings for a brighter, shinier look.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Last picture is a fun, AI generated image, to inspire ideas and creativity.  Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.

Sungott Art Studios - We couldn't find much information on this company.  Looks like they were based in New York City around the 1950's and 1960's.  An article in the Arizona Star mentions they were a distributor of decorative art and didn't really manufacture any of their artwork.  Specializing in reproductions of 18th and 19th-century European and Oriental styles, likely purchasing from smaller companies or contracting others to produce the desired pieces, they frequently used genuine Limoges porcelain plaques in their framed wall art, mostly during the mid-20th century.  Their branded items typically sold in department stores and home furniture stores.
