  • Pattern:  Antique Serving Fork / Meat Fork, Rogers & Bro, New Century Pattern
  • Made in USA
  • Antique: 1898
  • Details:  A beautiful cold meat serving fork in the very old "New Century" pattern by Rogers & Bro AI.  The design, from 1898, is ornate and lively, it was designed by Chris Silber in anticipation of a brand new century that was to start in just 1 year.  It's hard to notice unless you're looking for it but it has a beautiful, but faint, gold wash on the tines.  Designed to be a Cold Meat Serving Fork, we don't have such strict use for flatware these days, this fork could be extremely useful in serving a variety of items on a buffet table, at the dessert table as well as at your dinning table.  It is stamped on back: "Rogers & Bro AI".  Great as a hostess/host gift, or for someone who appreciates vintage flatware, perfect for a collector.
  • Material:  Silver plate
  • Dimensions:  8.25 inches Long
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Excellent Condition.  As with all silver pieces which have been used there are minor surface scratches, we feel acceptable due to age/use/wear.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
Rogers & Bro was established in 1858 at Waterbury by Asa Jr. and Simeon Rogers. Until 1874 the firm was only a flatware manufacturer. It was one of the original companies becoming part of International Silver Company in 1898.  That was a very exciting time in the USA.  Here are just a few things that happened that year:  1) New York City was created.  2) US declares war on Spain starting the Spanish American War. 3) US annexes the Hawaiian Islands.  This was also the period, known as the "Gay Nineties", happening in the US, while the "Belle Époque" was happening in France.
