Herons are wading birds — unlike ducks, they don't swim, but stand patiently near lakes, rivers, and swamps to hunt, which makes this a natural fit for coastal, lake, or beach house décor, and a lovely seasonal accent for summer displays. A charming find for the bird lover, wildlife figurine collector, or anyone drawn to quiet coastal style.
Little is documented about Angeline Originals directly, but research shows it was a brand name used by Heygill Imports, an American importer founded in 1961 in Charleston, South Carolina. Heygill contracted with ceramic and porcelain factories in Japan and Macau, which accounts for the high quality of pieces bearing its name; the company is believed to have closed in the mid-1980s. The foil sticker and stamped marks on this figurine's base helped confirm it as an authentic 1970s–1980s giftware import.
