Red crowned cranes mate for life — in Japanese and Chinese tradition they are symbols of fidelity, longevity, and love. These two stand at different heights, facing each other with the composed dignity the birds actually carry in nature, and the artist Jonathon Byron — best known for his Americana Bird Collection — has signed both.

One is stamped "Royal Crown" (an Arnart importer mark used on bird and animal figures from 1965–1987), the other "España," suggesting the two pieces came from different sources — Japan and Spain — both carrying Byron's designs and signature. Arnart Imports Inc. was a New York-based importer of fine porcelain gifts operating since 1953. Note: a minor chip on a grass blade, and both cranes show some paint loss on the red crowns — all photographed and priced accordingly. The hand-painted crowns could be retouched for a perfect look.

A meaningful pair for a collector of signed porcelain, a bird lover, or anyone drawn to the symbolism of cranes. A memorable anniversary, wedding, or housewarming gift.
