Clothtique is a proprietary process formulated by artist and sculptor Paul Chang — a mixture of porcelain, resin, and cloth that creates a finish similar to paper mache but far stronger. Possible Dreams figures have been made since 1985 through a labor-intensive handmade process using stiffened fabric and fine detailing; new Santa designs are introduced each year and typically produced for only one to two years before being retired.
