Each earring is a round composition of twelve outer rhinestones encircling seven smaller inner stones in a floral arrangement, all deep red, all faceted, all set in a brass mount with screw backs marked "Japan" on the reverse.

Made in the 1930s–1940s, when Japanese rhinestone jewelry was among the finest available and is now among the most collectible. Very hard to find in this condition.
