Nineteen red faceted rhinestones. One very good reason to look twice.
Each earring is a round composition of twelve outer rhinestones encircling seven smaller inner stones in a floral arrangement — all deep red, all faceted, all set in a brass mount with screw backs marked "Japan" on the reverse. Made in the 1930s–1940s, when Japanese rhinestone jewelry was among the finest available and is now among the most collectible. The fronts are in pristine condition; some discoloration on the backs, as expected for pieces of this age. Very hard to find in this condition.
A remarkable gift for the vintage rhinestone collector, the antique jewelry enthusiast, or anyone who appreciates jewelry with nearly a century of history.
